Louisiana – According to the statement, this unfortunate incident occurred on September 5, 2021.
OPSO deputies responded to a report of a missing 7-year-old child.
Police say that the 31-year-old mother said that her 7-year-old son was missing from her residence and she did not know his whereabouts.
Her name is Kawada Rucker and she allegedly admitted to being under the influence of marijuana and Xanax.
She also admitted to drinking alcohol heavily earlier in the day.
Few hours later, the 7-year-old boy was found safe with a family friend.
The mother called a family friend to pick up the child before reporting the child missing.
She was charged with Criminal Mischief and child protective services was notified.
