Local resident sentenced to 60 years in prison for fatal shooting of 25-year-old man in 2019

Shreveport, LA – According to the court documents, his name is LeDarron Demarion Carter and he was sentenced to 60 years in prison.

Prosecutors said the 28-year-old defendant will serve this prison term without the benefit of probation or suspension of sentence.

Carter was sentenced on Thursday, Jan. 6.

Prosecutors said the 28-year-old defendant shot and killed 25-year-old Deverous Holden in the 400 block of Stoner Avenue back on June 12, 2019.
