The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced the start of the $20.725 million Crescent City Connection Decorative Lighting Project

Shreveport, LA – According to the state officials, the project features LED lights on the trusses and piers of the bridges.

Frischhertz Electric Co. of New Orleans is constructing the project. Frischhertz also worked on the LED lighting project for the Caesars Superdome in 2012.

Work will begin this weekend, and lane closure announcements will be released through the MyDOTD notification system and listed on the 511la.org site. 

The Crescent City Connection Decorative Lighting Project was designed by Modjeski and Masters in 2023.

The Pennsylvania-based firm has a storied history within Louisiana, including the design of the Crescent City Connection and the Huey P. Long bridges.
