Caddo Sheriff Long has promoted two deputies to key positions within his administration, officials say

Shreveport, LA – According to the CPSO officials, Captain May was promoted to chief deputy and Captain Piggs was promoted to assistant chief of administration.

May has served as a Caddo Parish sheriff’s deputy for 32 years.

He has been a corrections deputy, detention special investigator, patrol deputy, Internal Affairs investigator, special investigator, and criminal detective.

Most recently he served as commander of the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division. He was a member of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and is a second-generation Caddo deputy. 

Piggs has dedicated the last 30 years to the Sheriff’s Office. She has worked in almost every area of the Detention Bureau, serving as a security deputy, shift supervisor, bailiff’s and court holding supervisor, and classification supervisor.
