Lafayette, LA – Per reports, Governor Jeff Landry released the following statement:
“Today we are honored to issue this proclamation and mark the start of Holocaust Remembrance Week in Louisiana.
While we mourn the innocent lives lost, this week also serves as an important reminder that Louisiana will always stand strong with Israel, and we will Never Forget the horrors of the Holocaust.”
Representative Beryl Amedée reportedly said:
“I appreciate Governor Landry issuing this important proclamation. I share his commitment to standing with the state of Israel and to never forgetting the atrocities of the Holocaust.
Now, more than ever before, is it important to remember the innocent Jewish men, women, and children killed during the Holocaust.
