Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival Gears Up for a Grand Return

BREAUX BRIDGE, LA – As the countdown to the 2025 Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival enters its final stretch, organizers are busy putting the finishing touches on what promises to be another memorable celebration of South Louisiana culture. With just weeks left until the festival kicks off on May 2, the city is preparing to welcome thousands of visitors for a three-day event filled with live music, mouth-watering crawfish, and a taste of local tradition.

Mark Benard, president of the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival Board, expressed both excitement and anticipation as preparations move into the final stages. “This is the nerve-wracking part,” Benard said. “You’re ready to go, but it’s not quite time to start. You can’t wait for those three weeks to come together, and as I’ve said, all the pieces have been falling into place throughout the year.”

This year’s event promises an even bigger and better experience, with festival organizers having already secured a stellar lineup of bands and vendors. According to Benard, the hard work put in throughout the year is now paying off as they enter the final stages of setup. “We’re about a week and a half away from starting to bring everything here and setting up the park. It’s a huge puzzle that takes all year to put together,” he explained.

Planning for the 2025 festival began almost immediately after the conclusion of last year’s event, and Benard is confident that the team is on track for a smooth rollout. “Actually, as of yesterday evening, we were slightly behind schedule, but after working with our volunteers, we’ve pretty much caught up,” he shared, adding that he’s confident everything will be ready in time for the festivities.

This year, organizers are putting a stronger emphasis on safety, with enhanced security measures and a clear bag policy for attendees. “We want the public to know we’ve made these improvements. We felt we had a good security team last year, but we’ve added even more personnel to ensure everyone’s safety,” Benard said. The festival team is eager to provide a secure environment where attendees can focus on enjoying the music, food, and camaraderie that have made the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival a hallmark of Louisiana’s vibrant cultural scene.

Festival-goers can expect to indulge in the region’s famous crawfish dishes, listen to an eclectic mix of live performances, and experience the warmth and hospitality that define South Louisiana. As the event draws closer, the excitement continues to build, and Breaux Bridge is preparing for yet another unforgettable celebration of local culture.

The Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival runs from May 2 to May 4, promising a weekend of fun for the whole family. Whether it’s your first time attending or you’re a returning festival-goer, this year’s event is sure to be a highlight of the festival season in Louisiana.
