Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrest man on drug, weapons charges after search at home and vehicle

Shreveport, LA – According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, his name is Ryan Johnson and he was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 28. 

K-9 Deputy Herring attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by the 33-year-old suspect.

The suspect then led the deputy on a car chase that ended on Murphy Street at Pete Harris Drive.

According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, 2 pounds of marijuana, 750.2 grams of marijuana, packaging material, digital scales and a handgun were found in the suspect’s vehicle.

Search warrant was executed at his home. The responding officers found: 283 grams of THC products, 3 grams of methamphetamine tablets, narcotics packaging equipment and 3 guns.

The 33-year-old man was arrested and booked into Caddo Correctional Center for Possession of Schedule I with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule II, Possession of a Firearm with CDS, Possession of CDS with a Minor and Aggravated Flight from an Officer.
