Crews respond to house fire early Thursday morning on Myrtle Street

Shreveport, LA – According to the Shreveport Fire Department, this incident occurred early Thursday morning.

It happened in the 2700 block of Myrtle Street.

Shreveport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire.

The responding crews discovered that the fire broke out in the back room of the house.

They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

No one was injured in this incident.

Officials said the house was vacant because it was being remodeled.

The cause of fire remains under investigation.
