CROWLEY, La. – A murder investigation is underway after a teenager was found shot to death early Sunday morning, February 16. Crowley Police Chief Troy Hebert confirmed that officers responded to the scene on East 13th Street, near North Avenue J, just after 5 a.m.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was discovered off the roadway by a caller who initially believed the individual had been struck by a car. However, upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officials found multiple shell casings near the body, which led to the determination that the victim had been shot several times.
“The situation is being treated as a homicide, and we are working to gather all the details surrounding this case,” said Hebert in a statement. “Our department is diligently investigating the circumstances of this tragic incident.”
