Fire damages three rooms at Express Inn on Evangeline Thruway

Lafayette, LA – A fire at the Express Inn on Evangeline Thruway caused damage to three hotel rooms, according to the Lafayette Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the fire late Wednesday night and were able to contain the flames before they spread further through the building.

Officials said crews did an excellent job bringing the situation under control and limiting the damage to the affected rooms.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
