Lafayette, LA – The Lafayette Police Department announced the start of the Greater Lafayette Community Food Drive, a collaborative effort with the City of Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, West Lafayette Parks & Recreation Department, Food Finders Food Bank, and several local service organizations.
Residents can donate non-perishable food items at various drop-off locations throughout the Greater Lafayette area, including Lafayette City Hall, McAllister Recreation Center, the Tippecanoe County Office Building, and West Lafayette City Hall. The Lafayette Police Department has also set up a collection box inside the first-floor entrance of the Lafayette Public Safety Center at 601 Columbia Street.
All donations collected will go directly to Food Finders Food Bank and other local organizations to support families in need during the holiday season.
The department encouraged community members to participate, emphasizing that the food drive will help keep local food pantries and community programs stocked throughout the coming months.
