Local resident is behind bars after threatening to shoot a police officer

Shreveport, LA – According to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was arrested on Sunday.

This incident occurred at the Glenwood Behavior Unit.

Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an assault on one of their employees.

The responding deputies talked with employees at the scene and they said that the 19-year-old suspect punched an employee in the arm and leg.

Her name is McKenzie Brown and when the deputies made contact with her, she allegedly told them “I am about to take your gun and shoot you in the head with it.”

The 19-year-old woman was charged with Simple Battery, Resisting an Officer, and Battery of a Police Officer.

Brown was transported and booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center.
