Louisiana man arrested and charged after Wednesday stabbing incident

Monroe, LA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday.

It happened at the Parkview Apartments.

Monroe Police Department officers responded to a report of a stabbing.

The responding officers made contact with the 52-year-old suspect.

His name is Michael Dewayne Henry and he allegedly told officers that he recall stabbing someone’s tire.

The suspect’s niece told the officers that Henry stabbed her tire and charged at her and her other uncle.

The suspect didn’t stop waving the knife which resulted in her other uncle shooting at him in the leg.

The suspect’s niece suffered a stab wound on the lower right abdomen.

The 52-year-old man was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery, Simple Criminal Damage to Property and Aggravated Assault.

This incident remains under investigation.
