One person dead, five injured in Thursday night shooting; NOPD investigating

LOUISIANA – According to the New Orleans Police Department, the shooting occurred right after 8 p.m. Thursday.

It happened night near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Robertson Street in New Orleans.

Authorities learned of the shooting when the victims arrived at the local hospital for treatment.

Police say that six people were shot, one dead and five injured.

No suspects have been arrested yet.
