Shooting on Interstate 220 sends one man to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Shreveport, LA – Shreveport Police Department officials said the shooting occurred around 3:52 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

It happened on Interstate 220.

Shreveport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.

When the officers arrived on scene, they found one male victim.

Police said the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. 

The victim’s age or identity have not yet been released.

Investigators believe the injured man was in a road rage incident.

Witnesses told investigators that the suspect’s vehicle and the victim’s vehicle were speeding eastbound before the suspect’s vehicle pulled up to the victim’s truck and someone in the passenger side opened fire.

No other information is available at the moment.
