Silver Alert Issued for Missing Ruston Man

Lincoln Parish, LA — The Louisiana State Police have issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Ruston Police Department for 89-year-old Sidney A. Dent, who was reported missing from his home on Zaphyr Lane in Ruston.

Dent was last seen at approximately 10:00 a.m. and was reported missing later in the afternoon. The Louisiana State Police received the request to issue the alert at around 3:12 p.m. Dent is described as having brown eyes, gray hair, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing approximately 280 pounds.

Officials have noted that Dent suffers from a medical condition that may cause disorientation, increasing concern for his safety. At the time of his disappearance, his clothing description was unknown.

Authorities believe Dent may be traveling in a gold 2003 Mercedes E Class bearing Louisiana license plate number 706FEE.
