Franklin, LA — Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a series of vehicle fires in the Jeanerette area, authorities confirmed on Monday.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office received a report on February 6th regarding two vehicles ablaze in the 5300 block of Levee Road. Hours later, another vehicle fire was reported in the 2400 block of W. Atchafalaya Basin Spillway. Investigators determined that all three fires were intentionally set.
Following the fires, authorities arrested Mason Couvillier, 17, and Taylon Robicheaux, 17, both from Franklin. The two teens are facing charges of three counts of simple arson.
Anna Hebert, 18, also of Franklin, was arrested the same day and charged as a principal to simple arson.
The investigation is ongoing as officials work to determine any additional details about the incidents. The State Fire Marshal’s Office urged the public to report any information that could aid the investigation.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fires, but the damage to the vehicles was significant.
