LAFAYETTE, LA — Love Our Schools is calling on volunteers to lend a hand as Lafayette High School prepares for a significant transition to a brand-new facility. On May 17, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the organization will host a Serve Day aimed at assisting with the packing and moving of school materials to ensure a smooth and efficient relocation process.
The event is part of Love Our Schools’ ongoing effort to provide support for local schools, and this year, they are seeking the help of 300 volunteers. Individuals with hand trucks or moving dollies are especially encouraged to participate, as these tools will help in the efficient movement of boxes and materials.
“We’re excited to support Lafayette High School during this transition,” said a representative from Love Our Schools. “The community’s involvement is crucial in making this a seamless move for students and staff.”
Volunteers are urged to register in advance to ensure an organized event. For those interested in participating, registration can be completed through the Love Our Schools website. Groups or individuals with specific questions about how they can contribute to the move are encouraged to call 337-375-0809.
The move represents a significant step forward for the high school, and organizers are confident that the collective efforts of volunteers will make the transition to the new building as smooth as possible.
