LAFAYETTE, La. — A 15-year-old from Lafayette has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday night. The incident took place around 7:20 p.m. on February 1, in the 200 block of Arthur Street.
According to the Lafayette Police Department, officers responded to the area after receiving reports of multiple gunshots. Upon arrival, they discovered the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
