Sam’s body was discovered inside a vehicle that crashed into the Super 6 Hotel on the NW Frontage Road in Carencro, Louisiana. Investigators believe the shooting occurred shortly before the crash on Interstate 49 in Carencro. The details surrounding the incident have prompted authorities to pursue multiple charges against the suspects.

He is currently still at large, and law enforcement is urging the public to come forward with any information regarding his whereabouts. Carencro Police Chief David Anderson commended the two detectives working the case, stating, “The two detectives that have investigated this case have done an outstanding job of gathering all of the facts and presenting a solid case to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.”
According to police, when officers arrived at the scene, they found the truck had crashed into the building, and Sam was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other passengers in the truck, however, were unharmed by the gunfire.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on James’s whereabouts to contact the Carencro Police Department as they continue their search for the remaining suspect.
