Lafayette, LA – The Lafayette Police Department honored Captain Sherer during its August swear-in ceremony, officially recognizing his promotion in the presence of proud family and friends.
Since joining the department in 2006, Captain Sherer has served in numerous vital roles, including SWAT, Drug Task Force, Community Outreach, Recruiting and Field Training Commander, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, and Lieutenant of Administrative Services.
Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his dedication to the department’s mission, his contributions to its growth, and his commitment to ensuring the safety of the community.
