Mother helped her juvenile son take meth because she thought it would help him relax; the boy started hallucinating and ended up in a hospital

The 38-year-old mother allegedly held foil with heated meth while her juvenile son used a straw to take a ‘hit’. Investigators believe the mom gave the her 14-year-old son meth three separate times. A family member called the house and spoke with the boy who was hallucinating from the drugs. The mother reportedly told the unidentified relative that her son took a Xanax pill.

The 38-year-old mother from Florida, Cheryl Asiq, reportedly helped her 14-year-old son take meth and had the kid hallucinating from the drug, prosecutors said. She is now facing charges of child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Investigators believe the mother held foil with heated meth while her juvenile son used a straw to take a hit of the vapors, per reports.

According to the police officials, the 38-year-old woman gave her son methamphetamine three separate times between Thursday and Saturday. Family member called their home and spoke with the boy who was reportedly hallucinating from the drugs.

The 38-year-old mother took the phone and told the relative that her son had just taken a Xanax pill.

The relative reportedly called 911 and an ambulance showed up to take the teenager to a hospital for treatment.

The 38-year-old mom reportedly called her son and told him he should lie about where he got the meth.

During an interview with investigators, the mother said her 14-year-old son got the drugs while she was in the shower, but later admitted to giving him the drugs herself, thinking it would help him relax.

The mother is now facing charges of child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. This incident remains under investigation. This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available.
